Riversands Golden Liqueur Muscat won a Silver medal and trophy for ‘Best Queensland Fortified’ at the acclaimed Australian Small Winemakers Show.

Our rich Golden Liqueur Muscat, made from late harvest Californian Early White Muscat grapes, has consistently won medals over the years. “The Golden Liqueur Muscat has received a total of four Silver Medals, a Bronze Medal, as well as being recognised twice with three stars from Winestate – just in the past two years!” says Riversands Marketing Manager Dana Gluzde.

What makes a great Muscat?

Vineyard owner David Blacket says “the Californian Early White Muscat grapes are an excellent variety for our hot climate here in Western Queensland. It’s a dual purpose grape which came about as result of the table grape industry. We also use it in our table wine Major Mitchell, which scored a Bronze at the Australian Small Winemaker Show last night.”
