Condamine Bell

Exclusive to Riversands – this pottery Condamine Bell is moulded from an original S W Jones metal bell made between 1868 and 1912. These bells were originally made for drovers and bullockies to hang around the neck of their stock to keep track of them. They had a deep low ring which carried for miles. They were also called “Bullfrog Bells”.

Bendigo Pottery cast these pottery bells exclusively for Riversands. The bells are numbered on the side and with the story of the bell on the reverse they are highly collectable.
