Cotton Vineyard Farm Tours

We welcome you aboard our St George cotton-vineyard tour running from April to October. The tours run on Thursday of each week and sometimes Friday with a minimum of 12 guests. The tours showcase our irrigated agriculture in an entertaining and informative way enhanced by food and wine! The tours are popular amongst tourists, families, industry groups, farmers & school children.

One of our prominent local cotton farmers will host you on their farm where you will learn about cotton planting, growing, irrigation, harvesting and marketing. You can ask anything about cotton production and water management!

On the second part of the tour to Riversands Vineyards we share our journey on table and wine grape growing. We cover vineyard pruning, shoot thinning, irrigation, nutrition and grape picking.

Afterwards, we give you a full wine tasting including wine appreciation and tips on how we make our wines!

You will be well fed with local pumpkin soup for entree, gourmet sandwiches for mains and slice for dessert. You can purchase our wine packs during the lunch break. 

We pickup from van parks and the Visitor Information Centre from 8.50 am onwards and return by 2 pm. The tour costs $50 cash per head. Half price for school-age children and no charge for pre-schoolers.

We can run the tour on days other than Thursday or Friday by special arrangement. We can also run the tours before April or after October by special arrangement pending numbers. Please note cotton is a seasonal crop with picking occurring from March-May. If you wish to see cotton or cotton picking you will need to arrange an early season tour in those months.
