Summer Recipe Inspiration

Take advantage of summer nights with a BBQ with friends and family. Spend less time in the kitchen and more time outdoors celebrating and enjoying delicious food and wine. Here are some of our favourite and easy Summer plates, with the perfect wine parings to match each course.

Snacks

Cheeseboard- Start your evening with a cheeseboard with all your favourite types of cheese and savoury items. This would go perfectly with a glass of sparkling wine, we recommend ourSparkling Sisters, a refreshing sparkling with rose petal aromas and strawberry and guava flavours. 


Entre 

Mango, Prawn and Avocado Salad – 

Step 1: Pour a glass of ourBeardmore’s Dry Sauvignon Blanc!

  • What will you need?
  • 400g cooked tiger prawns
  • 2 avocados, cut into cubes 
  • 2 mangos, cut into cubes
  • 2 limes, plus lime wedges to serve
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped coriander 
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1 long red chilli, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Herbs (optional), to serve

How to prepare

Step 2: Wash, peel, and chop the prawns. Place in a bowl with mango, chopped lettuce and avocado.

Step 3: Place lime juice in a small bowl with the coriander, chilli, honey and oil. Whisk to combine, pour over prawn mixture and toss to mix. 

Step 4: Serve and enjoy with another glass of Beardmore's Dry White Sauvignon Blanc!

Hint: If you want to shake this dish up, try grilling the mango on the BBQ until slightly charred!


Mains

Marinated Steak– Enjoy a juicy delicious steak cooked to your liking with a glass of spicy Shiraz. Use this recipe as a guide for the best marinated steak.

What you will need: 

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Mix your ingredients together and marinate your steaks for at least 2 hours for best flavour. 

Grill to your preference on the BBQ. We suggest medium-rare.
